Audio Transformer Winding

As a low-frequency voltage transformer with an operating frequency range of 10 to 20,000 Hz, the audio transformer mainly has the functions of transforming the voltage and transforming the impedance of the load. The working frequency response of the audio transformer is uniform, and the high magnetic permeability materials are stacked to form its core. Its primary and secondary windings are closely coupled, and because the magnetic flux passing through the primary winding is almost linked with the secondary winding, its coupling coefficient is infinitely close to 1. The primary winding inductance determines the lowest frequency of the transformer's passband, while the transformer leakage inductance determines its highest frequency. In order to make the transformer have enough passband, the primary winding inductance should be as large as possible, and the leakage inductance should be as small as possible. In order to avoid the signal distortion of the transformer and the influence of external factors on the tape, we can effectively solve the above problems as long as we configure the appropriate load, increase the load current and increase the section of the iron core.
